Dear Patients and Families,

On May 11, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. both federal and state COVID-19 public health emergencies will end. We at Cohasset Pediatrics have decided to join other Boston area healthcare settings by adjusting our masking protocols. Starting May 12, 2023, we will no longer require universal masking for healthy patient visits. These visits include but are not limited to, physical exams, vaccines, sports injuries, etc. Patients without respiratory symptoms are allowed to come directly into our waiting room without calling from the parking lot ahead of time.

Patients are required to mask if they are over age two and have:

• A fever or other flu-like or respiratory symptoms
• Have a known COVID-19 infection and are in their isolation period.
• Have a known COVID-19 exposure within the last 10 days.

Masks will be available in our office at our entrances. Patients here for sick visits should continue to call from the parking lot rather than entering our waiting room. We will take you immediately to a room when we have an exam room ready for you.

The safety of our colleagues and our patients remains extremely important to us. We are fully confident in our state and federal officials and feel safe in our decision to join others in lifting the masking mandates. We will continue following infection control guidelines as we do with other respiratory viruses and all standard infection control procedures in place.

Please note: Broader masking may be needed again in the future. We will inform you if our policies change.

FLU VACCINE CLINICS

We are offering weekly flu vaccine and COVID booster clinics, please call us at 781-383-6800 for information.  For these appointments you do not need to call from the parking log when you arrive.  You may come right into the waiting room to check in, WEARING A MASK PLEASE.  If you or your child have any cold symptoms (fever, sore throat, congestion, etc. or have had a COVID exposure), please call the office to reschedule.  Please be patient with our staff, we have been receiving a tremendous amount of calls.
